Dina spent the first 2 and a half years in an orphanage waiting for the red tape to clear so her mommy and daddy could bring her home. She is loved and pampered and 18 years in the making :) ]]>
Jo brought me flowers for my birthday party on Saturday. I bet she knew I'd be shooting them. :)
This tree is pretty much naked now, we had a few days of wind, and only the oak trees and the weeping willows are hanging on to their leaves. I have a few perennials still doing ok, I was hoping to get out and shoot today, but the wind changed my mind so I took a day for myself, and laid in bed and watched Milk.
I rearranged the pantry today in anticipation of Thanksgiving. I want to attach my clothing closet too, but it is overwhelming when I look at it. But, the pantry was too, and I tackled that. I had expired jello...expired in 2007. Then I started looking at every expiration date on every package and filled a 13 gallon trash bag with near empty bags and boxes of stale snacks and expired Jello. I wonder why I had 13 boxes of Jello. What was I thinking?
I've got flowers around the house to photograph, 2 of my christmas cactus's are blooming, and Jo brought me flowers on Saturday, when we celebrated my birthday yet again. October was FULL of birthday surprises!
My best gifts by far were the platter Jo made for me and my IPhone.
I've sort of abandoned my Vox blog. There just isn't time in the day to keep up with a neighborhood and download and edit, post and comment AND do things offline that won't get done if I don't get off my arse.

Today is gray and cloudy, but pretty windy. We've got a cold front coming through just in time for the trick or treaters. Poor kids.
So I am out looking for shots, I really want to do reflections, but will I tire of the same places over and over? I wish I had public access to lots of lakes and ponds, so that I could just sit close to the water and wait for shots. There are a few, but they are inconvenient to park and walk.
Please don't let winter take my mojo away this year!

I'm not abandoning Vox, I swear. As soon as the weather turns, and it is coming faster than I want it too, I'll be back. Maybe then I'll have time to organize my summer photography.

It is a rainy day here, I had to sneak out to hunt down refraction shots between the rains. I think I might be making Flickr self destruct today, as I am uploading 131 files. I feel so much safer having them on a place where I can easy retrieve them if my computer dies, and my portable hard drive dies all at the same time. Why am I such a fatalist?
First time ever! Now I am in the photography stream of SU! woot woot! I hope that is a good thing. I'm going to be famous one day. In my own mind only maybe but that is good enough for me.
